I have been trying a lot planning and putting myself into Minecraft projects, which turn to nothing in the end, that I've decided I can just build for fun, not by idea and with goal. And it helps a lot. My building has been improving as I just start from scrach and stuff comes to my mind. This type if building is usual for build battles, where you have no time to plan and think. You just imagine and build. And so there is no turning back. You go with what you've done, then continue. P.S. love ☺️

Have you seen the videos that Pixelriffs has made? He makes tons of videos recapping hermitcraft every week. I think that he would be a great addition to hermitcraft. Watching hi let’s plays, I have seen that he is an enthusiastic player and he makes great videos. He also makes very good builds in his videos that would look great in a hermitcraft space. Maybe you can check him out and see if he should be invited.

With so many hermits having video issues I'd just leave replay mod always on if I was one. I don't know if replay mod let's you follow a given character's view around, but you could at least generate a third-person real-time video and redo the audio over it.
